PLANNED PARROTHOOD™ would like to introduce two avian specialists held in very high esteem for their keen interest in birds, their special love and care for them, their handling ability of all birds, intensive experience with them, and their continued studies of avian medicine.
The Doctors will be answering your questions concerning avian medicine and treatment of parrots. Please do NOT ask questions that are of an emergency nature. Questions may take awhile to be filtered through to the Doctors, who are giving of their precious time to contribute to birdlovers of the world.
Now I will introduce you to Dr. Lonnie Kasmin from Monroe, New York. Dr. Kasmin is a 1990 graduate of ROSS University. He worked at the famous SanDiego Zoo in California for six years. While there, he worked on the California Condor project. He has been practicing avian medicine and surgery for six and a half years. He can be reached at: (845)782-8621 by appt. only.
Introducing Dr. Judy St.Leger, who has practiced veterinary medicine in the Albany, NY area where she is greatly missed and is now doing avian medical research at Davis Univ. in CA.
We invite you to submit your NON-EMERGENCY questions to us now. Those questions of general interest and enlightenment to most bird owners will be answered here. Check often for an interesting electronic bird clinic. Names and locations will be omitted upon request if your submissions are selected.
